I´m alive!

Olga (my host mom) and Maria Elisa, my host... neice. She´s one month old, and the sweetest calmest baby ever.

Arthur, Molly, me and Reed at Coyote. Showing off our "Yengha" skills.

Check out Reed´s arm. Hahaha.

These past several days have been amazing. Thursday night we went out dancing. I danced with some dude. He was nice, but 30. Haha. Not too eventful. However, Friday night was epic. First we went to Coyote, one of our favorite little bars here where we play Jenga and get 2 for 1 drinks for happy hour. After that we went to a club that is owned by a friend we met here who was close to the previous LC group. Friday was the first night and it´s only the second gay club in Cuenca. We decided to show our support and go to the opening. It was really fun. Photos of divas on the walls and I danced breifly so some Britney Spears. After that we went to another club that was having a big party and guest DJs from Quito. We met up with some Cuencanas that we´d met earlier in the day and hung out with. Really fun. We all danced so much... The next morning, we got up early and went to Inga Pirca, Ecuador´s greatest Incan Ruins. I unfortunately forgot my camera, but Molly and Reed took plenty of photos, so those will surface at some point I´m sure. I´m uploading just a few photos I found from the internet though so you can see...

Sunday was a chill day. I mostly hung out at home and did homework. Went to a park that´s close to my house and met up with my friend Reed there. We just walked around and ate some taffy and went down the most horrible slide ever. I´m surprised I´m not bruised. Haha. We got some good sun though. My tan is coming along. Thankfully. No more pale Portland Melanie.

Ciao loved ones.

  1. Oh my gosh that baby is cute! If you can, take a picture of it while squeezing her cheeks!

That is a pretty impressive yengha stack, I am impressed. You look so cute in that one picure.. ahhh. And your drinks look tasty!

The pictures of the ruins are beautiful. They look really well preserved. That must be amazing to see in person, so much history.

You have to take a picture of the slide you almost got hurt on... do you tumble down it instead of slide? Haha.

I am so glad to hear you are getting darker! Yay! I am still nice and pink! I have been going outside, it is just, in the forest the trees block the sun all out! :)

It sounds like you are having a great time! I love you!
